Jacopever is very similar to the False Jacopever but is has a more mottled pattern and it does not have the large white spots on its back.

The Jacopever is more likely to been found in deeper waters and is therefore less commonly seen by divers.
On Tristan both Jacopever and False Jacopever are known as the Solider fish.
